The PowerPlant Tube 25w UV/FR LED is a tube-format supplementary light which adds UVA (365nm, 385nm & 395nm) and Far-Red (730nm) wavelengths to your grow light spectrum. It does not provide the full spectrum of light which plants require. Using the hanging brackets provided, a pair of Tube LEDs can be added to most multi-bar LED Fixtures to increase yield and quality of crops, stimulate growth and promote flowering. They may also be hung alongside any other type of full spectrum grow lighting. Both Tubes, when linked, are powered from one mains power socket and can be scheduled by means of a timer. An array of up to 36 linked tubes can be powered from one 13 A power socket.

A: PowerPlant Tube 25w UV/FR LEDs will add UVA and Far-Red wavelengths to the overall grow lighting spectrum. These are beneficial to plants and can improve yield, quality, growth and flowering of crops. 

Q: Can the PowerPlant Tube 25w UV/FR LED only be used with other LED lighting? 
A: PowerPlant Tube 25w UV/FR LEDs emit only UVA and Far-Red wavelengths and do not provide the full spectrum of light which plants need to thrive, so they should always be used as supplementary lights with other grow lighting. They can be attached to any LED multi-bar fixture, but they can also be hung alongside any other type of full spectrum grow light source. 

Q: How should I power and control the PowerPlant Tube 25w UV/FR LEDs? 
A: PowerPlant Tube 25w UV/FR LEDs each have an integral flying lead, by which they can be linked.  The last flying lead should attach to the power lead provided, which can be plugged directly into the mains supply. Up to 36 Tube LEDs can be linked together in this way and powered from one 13 A power socket. We recommend that you use a plug-in timer to schedule your Tube LEDs. Excessive UV can be harmful to plants, and your plants will benefit if the PowerPlant Tube 25w UV/FR LEDs are powered for only about 2 hours per day during the photoperiod. The exact amount of time should be determined by the grower, for the greatest benefit to the crop. 

Q: Is the PowerPlant Tube 25w UV/FR LED safe? 
A: Yes, it is perfectly safe if used correctly and certain simple precautions are taken. Persons should avoid entering the grow room when the PowerPlant Tube 25w UV/FR LED is lit. NEVER look directly at it when lit.
